Heroism and Duty

In the ancient world, the definition of the hero was subjective in the culture of Egypt and Israel. The Egyptians believe that heroes are high-ranking. Regardless of whether they are God or personal relationship with God, their responsibility is to represent people. Israeli heroes are those who worship God in a selfish manner, so that God has chosen them as part of their duties and is guided by the example. Ancient Egypt and Israel are similar in defining and describing their responsibilities to heroes and society.
