Herman Webster Mudgett is best known as H. H Holmes. Born in Gulf of New Hampshire on May 16, 1861, he was born in a wealthy family (HH Holmes). As a little boy, Holmes is often bullied. His bully found his fear of the local doctor's office, so they took him there and compelled him to touch the human skeleton. He was not afraid, but he was fascinated by this experience. Since that day his interest in human anatomy has disappeared. As Sherlock Holmes was addicted to death, he began dissecting dogs, cats and other homeless animals. His experiment with animals is exactly the rehearsal for the next experiment. On July 8, 1878, at New Hampshire, Holmes married Alton's Clara A. lover. She is the daughter of a local rich farmer. They have a son, Robert Lovering Mudgett, born in Loudon, New Hampshire on February 3, 1880. His marriage to Clara failed.
