As we all know, national identity is the most important element of the country. Without a national identity, it is considered that the country is not unique. Losing the national identity will result in loss of all religion, culture, history, etc. I can not deny that the Canadian government has striven for a unified national identity since the federal government. In order to help Canadians establish a national identity, the CRB Foundation has created a national memory project Heritage Minutes since 1991 and discovered that it is a familiar part of the Canadian media industry (Emi Ly, 2002).
It is important to pay attention to the difference between cultural heritage and national heritage. As discussed by discussions on public heritage and difficult heritage, heritage can play an important role in nurturing people's identity in national culture (Ireland & Schofield 2015: 2; Weiss 2007). A common heritage among citizens and cultural unification of deep-rooted nationalism. The nationalists have a unified culture idea to unite the people, and they do not want this idea to be uneasy. Immigrants are considered culturally harmful and can not be absorbed. This view brought a negative view to the concept of liberalized immigration policy. Attraction to immigrant culture is based on feelings. As regards nationalist complaints, immigration is clearly disadvantageous. They are not indigenous people, so they think they can not feel proud of the nationalists in the country they want to emigrate.
National identity Until the 19th century revolution, Filipinos had little national identity. Until the middle of the 19th century, the word "Filipinos" did not mention locals. Prior to this, Spain treated the island as a single government agency and changed the population to Catholic as a unified factor. With the growing desire for independence, the national flag was created, a national hero appeared, and the national anthem was written. The national language was designated in 1936. Ethnic costumes were established. The national identity is fragile and truly faithful to relatives, rural areas or cities
