Nissan has developed a seamless autonomous driving technique to enable autonomous vehicles to cope with unexpected situations. We call this "SAM". Developed from NASA's technology, SAM provides human support in collaboration with automotive AI to enable autopilots to make decisions quickly and safely in unpredictable situations. This technology may allow millions of unmanned vehicles to coexist with human drivers on an accelerated timeline. It is part of Nissan's intelligent integration. In order to make the future of this new mobility a reality, not only innovation but also creativity is necessary. It was part of Nissan's DNA from the beginning. Research and development on artificial intelligence technology is another example of how Nissan Motor utilizes innovation and creativity to create a future for new automobiles.

In November 2011, I donated a private minibus to L'Oreal Japan to support the "ideal ideal" project. The bus is used as the main means of transportation of the mobile hairdresser. This project provides inexpensive haircut and shampoo to residents in the disaster area, and it also functions as a local barber shop. Also, for the Iwate Mobile Library project, I donated two medium-sized trucks Atlas F24 to the Shanti Volunteer Association. Since January 2012, one of these cars took the library to Luqian Takada temporary housing development and Datu Ferry, allowing residents to borrow books, gather and exchange with others did. Nissan will do its utmost to become an automobile manufacturer in cooperation with nonprofit organizations, NGOs, and local governments to support people in the disaster area.
