It is often said that Joseph Heller's novel "Fishing 22" is about Heller's view of war and lack of patriotism. I understand how to understand these concepts from the novel, but the main content of the novel is to inform the reader that Heller plays its part in ironical things. It is also influenced by the evolution of Yosarian. Heller painted the view on war with sarcasm and drew another aspect of society. Other aspects are life value, abuse of power, inhumane bureaucracy of women and military structures as a whole.

Heller satanized the irony of the title and the novel of the character. Through catch 22, Heller discussed the themes of reality and appearance. He also talked about the differences between what the character said and what actually happened. This enhances the sarcastic effect created by Heller. The best example of this realistic theme is when Cascade punishes Yossarian or modifies whether it jumps over the target twice and gives medals to the enemy. Novel "Catch 22" also juxtaposes scenes to create an ironic point of view

At Catch - 22, Joseph Heller revealed the collapse of humanity and society. Heller respects war and its values, using various themes and unique styles and structures, and respects society as a whole by utilizing the war environment. By manipulating the "classical" war environment and words in the novel, Heller can describe society as being dark and distorted. Heller showed his explanation about society through the war system (ie the influences and problems during and after the war). In the novel, Heller's solution to the loss of personality by the lives of soldiers, insanity of war, and the solution of Heller to madness, and the idea that "there is always a trap" in life are greatly reflected. Heller's novel tiriz war, but also tiriz the whole society.

Heller's two novels, Catch - 22 and Good as Gold, in short, contain a lot of satirical works. Catch - 22 contains satirical works deeply integrated into its architecture, but Gold as as is superficial but still full. Catch - 22 makes the military tire mainly, but Good's Gold makes the White House and the government tired. These two novels contain many installations such as humor, satire, manga and so on. As Karl pointed out, catch 22 had a great influence on people's war perception and influenced war fiction in the 1960s and 1970s. If these novels are seen as something other than a satire, they will be highly appreciated or not fully understood.
