Helen Keller: Author, Lecturer, Political Activist

Helen Keller is one of the most moving people in American history. She has to overcome disability and many other obstacles to live my life. Keller was born in Tuscumbia, Alabama on June 27, 1880. Her parents Arthur Keller and Kate Adams served in the Civil War during the Civil War (Thompson, 2003). Like most parents, when Keller was born, they were ecstatic. At the age of 18 months, she was a happy, healthy baby who learned to say her first few words. But one morning, when I woke up, she had a high fever and had to go to the hospital.

Helen Keller is an American writer, lecturer, political activist. At the age of 19 months, she developed a disease that makes her deaf and blind. Five years later, her parents found Ann Sullivan, a teacher who helped Keller overcome her obstacles and learn communication. Sullivan is still a mentor and companion of Keller and continues to support her education, including a degree from Radcliffe University, the first university degree earned by hearing impaired and blind people. Keller's first book, the story of my life, details her trip from college to college. Her life has been painted many times in various forms of media. Most famous is a miracle worker, a drama based on autobiography by Keller, was used as a television series in 1957, as a Broadway drama in 1959, and as a feature film awarded Oscar in 1962.

Sanger promoted the term contraception, established the first contraceptive clinic in the United States, and established an organization developed into the American Family Planning Association. Sanger's efforts have led to several judicial actions to help legalize contraception in the United States. Sanger is considered to be the leader of women's rights struggle in the United States
