"Healthy People 2020" 44: The "Healthy People 2020" initiative provides a 10 - year science - based national goal to improve the health of all Americans. The goal of "healthy people in 2020" is to improve environmental justice by focusing on eliminating health disparities to achieve fairness in health. The focus of 11 projects is environmental justice. These projects will begin in December 2011 and will end in May 2012.
Started by the US government on December 2, 2010, healthy people 2020 include a series of ambitious but achievable 10 year targets for improving public health. "Healthy People 2020" is the result of a process over several years reflecting the opinions of different groups of individuals and organizations. This is a 10 year national goal based on science to improve the health of all Americans. Thirty years, healthy people establish benchmarks, monitor progress, promote collaboration between communities and departments, individuals can make informed health decisions and measure the impact of preventive activities I've been doing it.
