We are giving good examples in Slovenia. I have recently visited the town of Muruskasobota, where Rome is better integrated into society than others. It has the city council's first Roman representative who has a Roman committee dealing with their practical problems. In Murska Sobota Roma people can apply for all work in their own city in the fields of culture, health, social security, sports and housing. The town has funded Rome projects in all these areas. The city also provides temporary social support to Roman families or individuals under the same conditions as vulnerable citizens applying for the majority of the population. Many programs are being developed - from social and educational aid to family, social integration, education, reading and learning, inclusion, sports and cultural activities
