Primary Care Healthcare Marketing Program There are a number of factors to consider when developing an effective marketing plan in promoting primary care services. Primary care providers are US medical gatekeepers and many patients have to visit them before being introduced to a specialist (Bodenheimer, 2003). Their mission also includes ensuring that patients receive preventive services and treat more complex chronic diseases (Akinci & Healey, 2004).

Hospitals and healthcare centers are the only aspects of providing healthcare to urban areas and local residents. - Over the past 200 years, many historical health concepts have undergone various changes, against the background of medical superiority. The definition of health depends on one's own view of whether it is equal, professional or whether it is a specific cultural or social ideal and health policy from a particular time or place (Fleming & Parker 2012, p.30, Naidoo & Wills 2000)
