HDFS 404 - Child Life Theory and Practice

This course meets all Child Life Professionals Association (ACLP) requirements for children's life class. It is taught by certified children's living experts focused on children in the healthcare environment and includes all applied research fields of ACLP

This course meets all requirements of Children's Life Council on children's life course. It includes a learning area for all six applications taught by qualified children's life specialists who are focused on children in the health care environment. Prerequisites: HDFS 263 and HDFS 371. Review the parenting process and parentage relationship based on scientific research on child development and family relations. Family systems and ecological frameworks will be used to explore different parenting issues throughout the lifecycle (eg pressure and adaptation to nurture parents through divorce). Prerequisites: Online gerontology course will complete 12 units of course work. In this course we will explore the theoretical foundation of happiness. We will strive to understand and analyze the interrelationships between health and the elderly, families and families.

The theory and practice of children's life support the application of knowledge on child development, the education, preparation and support of children and their families through family related dynamics related to hospitalization and disease. Children's life theory and practice is taught by accredited children's life specialists and meets the requirements of the child's life council as a certified child's life specialist. After completing this course, you do not need to get certified for your child's life, but we recommend that you do so.

Prerequisites: HDFS 263, HDFS 371 or equivalent, advanced degree or teacher's license. Detailed review of existing legislation and public policy that affect family happiness such as marriage, family relations, divorce, custody, benefits, child rearing, ICWA, adoption, etc. The impact of workplaces and health policy on families has also been investigated. Prerequisites: Status of graduates. This course aims to give students a deeper understanding of contemporary issues in family science. To guide studies of family science, a major theoretical point of view is introduced. Describes contemporary issues related to family demographics, functions, and formation. In this course we encourage students to apply course information when preparing to start a career with individuals and their families.

Prerequisite: HDFS 371 and teacher specified filter. Advanced vertex course. Establish professional identity, transition to early childhood education and child service, and establish career in human development and family science. The experimental part of the course covers the scientific application of family and consumer science theories and methods. Students will join the lab after consulting with the course instructor. Prerequisites: HDFS 371 and Premium. Knowledge and skills necessary to plan, build, and manage various welfare plans, such as infants, young people, families, the elderly, and the environment within the facility. Students plan to prepare for application
