Based on Jared Diamond's Pulitzer award winning book of the same name, Guns, Germs, and Steel follow the travel of mankind from the last dawn of the Ice Age to the reality of the 20th century - the first century in the past 13000 years. Inspired by the questions raised about the island of Papua New Guinea more than 30 years ago, Diamond began a world trying to understand the underlying cause of global inequality.

Why do Europeans conquer so many planets? Why are Chinese and Incas not master of the world? Why was the city first developed in the Middle East? Why did agriculture not appear in Australia? Why did the tropics become the capital of the world's poverty?

Diamond discovered his theory and his own endurance test when he removed the historical level to reveal the fundamental environmental factors that shape human destiny.
