History and Growth 'Especially when comparing the industry size of 1950 to the industry scale of 1995, it is clear that the private security industry has achieved remarkable growth. In 1950, more than a dozen companies were involved in providing security services and security products; there are now tens of thousands of industries (George and Barton: 30). Today, foreign organizations, and most importantly, private companies voluntarily provide policing within the commercial base and community (Bayley and Shearing, 1996). According to South, Jones, Newborn, the UK private security industry has grown strongly since then.

The dramatic increase in private security over the past few decades has reconstructed the structure and function of the modern security system. It is widely believed that private security is largely an American phenomenon; however, in almost all developed countries of Western countries, it is increasingly being discovered in some way (Grabosky, 1977; Hovav and Amir, 1979; Heijboer, 1979) Concentration of private security in the hands of large multinational corporations in a country casts doubts about the sovereignty of the country. It has traditionally been related to the maintenance of law and order. In addition, these companies are often influenced by foreign ownership, which raises further questions about the sovereignty of the state. It also expressed concern about the control of the state by the private enterprises and the policy development of the state.

Private Security Company is a commercial company that provides armed and demilitarized security services and expertise to private and public customers. The US Bureau of Labor Statistics defines a private security company as a company that mainly provides security and patrol services such as bodyguards, watchdogs, parking guards and security services. Many of them will provide more sophisticated special operation services if customer's request is made. Examples of services provided by these companies include unauthorized activities and protection from access, traffic control, access control, fire, robbery and detection. These services can be widely explained as protection of people and assets. Other security services such as patrol patrol, body guard, surveillance dog service are included, but it is only a small part of the industry. By predicting the security industry to $ 100 billion a year, it is projected to grow to $ 200 billion by 2010.
