Grendel's Mother: Monster or Not?

In the poem "Beowulf", Glendell's mother is a terrible creature that is one of three hostile enemies Beowulf, the hero. The fight with Glendell's mother seems to be the most strangest of the three fights. The strange main reason is that Glendell's mother was the mother of Monster Glendell who was killed by Beowulf in the first fight.
