Gregory Maguire: Reusing the Past to Express the Present

The stories of classic children do not always stimulate joy and dreams; they were eerie nightmare fuels once. At the end of 1990, some students in London kidnapped and killed infants. This nightmarish event is based on whether the American novelist Gregory Maguire (born June 9, 1954) is the nature of evil, whether someone can make evil, or whether such teachings exist I was interested in something. It also affected his literary career and encouraged him to do some twists and rotations in the 1900 classic "Oz Wizard" by L. Frank Baum.

Composer and songwriter Stephen Schwartz discovered the writer's 1995 novel "Evil: Life and Era of the West Evil Witch" on holidays and saw the possibility of its dramatic adaptation. However, Maguire abandoned the rights of Universal Pictures, which plans to develop a live-action movie. In 1998 Schwartz persuaded Maguire to transfer production rights and called Schwartz "passionate demands" to world-renowned producer Mark Pratt to run Schwartz's own expectations. Platt is said to have signed a joint producer of the project between Universal and David Stone.

I love the music of Broadway musical "evil" of Stephen Schwarz which is always based on Gregory Maguire's novel. It made its debut in 2003 when I was a sophomore in high school, and my friend later thought that "For Good" is our informal graduation song. We sang as a "chorus class" as long as you are mine! In 2016 when I finally saw this show on Broadway, me and my friends were disappointed with the character of the Elphaba disabled sister Nessarose who was using the wheelchair. She is a static character, but exists as a plotting device that forces Elphaba to work. The girl 's father was dissatisfied with Elphaba, so she was only able to attend a boarding school so she was able to take care of Nessarose. In school, Munckin called Boq asked Nessarose to make a deep impression on Galinda, which is more popular, but I feel regretful about Nessarose. Nessarose finally caught up, regulated and refused to let him go

One of my favorite books is "evil: the life and age of the evil witch of the west", Gregory Maguire. Among them, Maguire talks about the history of the evil witch of the West from her point of view. There are many questions about what is evil, and who defines it. In this book, an evil witch was born on a green skin marked as a devil from people around her. When she grew up she hated her, which in turn played the story of terrorism. And destroyed the system I thought she was ruining her before she had the opportunity to define herself.
