Perseus is the son of Zeus and Dana, the only child of King Argus of Argos. He is known as the murderer of the Gorgon Atoll. Before he was born Apollo said he would kill his grandfather. King Achilles initially confined Danae to a bronze house, but Zeus saw a beautiful Danae and visited her in the form of a golden shower (the bronze house sunk to the ground, only a part) The roof open. Dana was pregnant, kept her father secret, but it was discovered soon (when Perseus was still a child). When Acrisius found that boy, Dana told him that Perseus is her son Zeus. Perseus and his mother drifted on an island called Selips and was still found on the chest by a fisherman named Dictys. Dictys took him to the house where he was living with his wife treated as his family.

The island ruler Polydectes fell in love with Danaë and thought Perseus would hinder his marriage plan. He thought of a plan to get rid of Perseus: He announced that he married Dana and invited all his friends to celebrate. Perseus is one of the guests. All guests should have a celebration gift, but Perseus has nothing to give. Polydectes killed Gorgon Medusa at Perseus and lowered his head and asked to bring her head as his gift. Perseus agrees to do this

He accepted a mirror-like shield to travel. Because Gorgon can change to stone by observing his own eyes, Perseus is watching the shield wisely, so Medusa can not see his eyes straight.
