It is different in many ways, it has a new type of arch and the way it is built is not square, but people are beginning to use more designs. The previous style is not as advanced and elaborate as Gothic, but there are many good points, but the Gothic style is revolutionary in history and many other styles, including our development from Gothic architecture. One of them is Romanesque style building. It is basically the same, but there are slight improvements and changes.
Renaissance critics first used the word Gothic to describe buildings that do not fit Greek or Roman style. In the 12th century, the monastery of Sugar, St. Denis Abbey used Gothic style at his monastery where Gothic style art originally started. Throughout the Middle Ages Gothic architecture in France and Western Europe was everywhere. In the 19th century, American architects began to lose interest in Greek and Roman classicism. As a result, they look for alternatives to inspiration. They turned their attention to medieval and non-classical architectural forms. In the 1930s, the resurrection of the Gothic style came from the UK to the United States. Richard Dawon, the manufacturer and drafter of the Cabinet, entered the United States in 1829. He is responsible for many works, including Trinity Church in New York (1846) and St. Paul's Cathedral in Buffalo (1851). He announced rural architecture in 1852.
In the United States, the first Gothic Revival example appeared in Baltimore's house in 1832, and the style rapidly spread. An example of the early Gothic revival in the United States is the Trinity Church in New York City, built in 1840. One of the most obvious things, especially the structure of houses, is a steep roof that ends at a high narrow point. The arched arched top and the tall windows reflect the thrust of the roof. They usually intersect the triangle (although not always). This means that the two roof parts of the building intersect to form a cross shape, which creates a more complex plan view. All of these elements highlight verticality
