There is a big difference between knowledge and wisdom. As a president of honor society, I can say that wise people have been doing stupid things. We just want to say that a very big lunch at the University of California is equivalent to blending the floating vessel with the admission officer is equivalent to vomiting. Today, we are sitting here to celebrate the fact that I've been studying at high school for 4 years over the past 4 years. But despite the fact that we have acquired all this knowledge, we are still very foolish and we do not mention the score of WASL, which means that we do not have the opportunity to apply for you.
The graduation season is approaching. In other words, many celebrities will teach courses and wisdom to 2017 graduates. I like to read the lecture and look back on what I learned. There were lots of great speech throughout my educational experience season so I decided to share some of my favorite courses and news from some of the lectures I can read (to Slack's inspiration Hat chip)
David Foster Wallace 's 2005 graduation class at Kenyon College is a treasure trove of eternal wisdom. HunterThompson is looking for your purpose and meaningful life. The speech was made into a thin book called "This is water: some thought conveyed to important opportunities about sending a considerate life." "Greeting my parents, congratulations to Kenyon's graduation class in 2005. These two small fish are swimming, they encounter old fish swimming on another road by chance and they nod." What is water? "The two boys were swimming for a while, but one finally saw each other and said," What is water? " "
Socrates' speech provides an amazing example of what philosophy is again. Philosophy is pursuit of wisdom: Relentless devotion to reveal the most important truth of life. This pursuit is convinced that life based on not being gentle and critical acceptance of traditional beliefs is life in the sky. As Socrates said, "Uncensored life is not worth living." Philosophy is difficult not only because it requires difficult thinking but also because we need to take a position not shared by the people around us.
