The US system is usually divided into three levels or schools. It is an elementary school (K - 5), a secondary school (6 - 8), and a high school (9 - 12). In some cases there are fields such as elementary school in elementary school sixth grade, junior high school seventh graders and eight graders. In some areas, the kindergarten may be separate from the rest of the elementary school. However, in general, these three departments are recognized in different configurations provided by each district. In that context, American courses are usually quite extensive, and students need to study the scope of subjects such as English, mathematics, science, foreign languages, history, art, music and sports until the 12th grade.
