On February 16, 2011, Florida Governor Rickscott officially announced that it refused all federal funds to build a high-speed rail project within the state, thereby killing the Florida state high-speed rail project. The reason why Governor Scott suspended the project is that "expenses are too expensive for taxpayers" and "that risk is much greater than income." These funds were again redistributed to other countries. In February 2011, Vice President Biden proposed investing 53 billion dollars to improve railway passenger service over the past six years. This plan evoked opposition from most of Republicans of the House of Representatives, but they prefer private investment rather than government investment. There are no funds allocated to passenger railway in fiscal 2011 or 2012 budget

Governor Rick Scott agreed to the Republican Party. After Governor Scott served as Primary Governor in Florida, Scott Governor was able to win the second term and has served as a governor since 2011. Scott resigned from Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Columbia Hospital Company and resigned due to controversy and problems concerning the practice of medical insurance claims. Eventually, the company admitted conviction of 14 felons and paid over $ 600 million to the government. This is the biggest fraud case ever in the United States.
