American culture has experienced tremendous change and has become increasingly lacking in information and technology. During these periods Americans have realized that they may also be attacked by enemy countries, and they started living in fear. America fell into the dread of the television screen fearing terror during the war. At Ray Bradbury's interesting novel "Fahrenheit 451", Bradbury created this society to show the importance of individuals and the intellectual value of literature.
