Gothic short story Gothic novel is usually dark and mysterious, mainly placed at night, the weather is often bad. The story of Gothic peaked in the Victorian era when Jack the Ripper and other renowned criminals fear people. This very inefficient police did not help this harsh time, so people wanted to hear more heroes in the world. I have read three famous Gothic short stories. In my article I discuss them in detail to determine how to make suspense and how effective it is.
In this article, Leeds believes that modernist writer Isaac Dinesen used two early Gothic stories in Gothic's short story "Dream". Starting with Robert Louis Stephenson 's story "Olara", Dinesene was inspired to create her role with the heroic characters of Olala, Stephenson' s story. Dinesen is inspired by the story "Awesome Dinner" by Jules Amadee Barbey d'Aurevilly and plays the role of Rosalba for her story. We know that Isak Dinesen works hard in her writing to create complicated intersexual puzzles. Sara Stambaugh pointed out that she consciously carries out ideological dialogue with her predecessors of literature than many other writers, often covering the patriarchal discourse of the 19th century I did (19). The main inspiration and stimulation of Dinesen include prominent writers such as SørenKierkegaard and Friedrich Nietzsche and others who are not well known.
Gothic literature usually includes mysteries, fears, violence, grotesque events. The two most famous authors that make up the Gothic short story are Edgar Allenpau and Nathaniel Hawthorne. While Hawthorne focuses on the dark side of the heart, Poe tends to write down the dark side of the heart. But their stories are very similar; both stories are made up of women like dark romanticism and angels. In the short story, "Young Goodman Brown" Hawthorne adventures us through adventure through the forest and tells those who try to find his true self like a devilish personality. Then, in the "minister 's black veil" he told the minister that we are wearing a black veil.
In the introduction of David Blair, the historical development of the Gothic short story has been studied for a long time. I originally scanned introductions. Later, after I got to know these stories better I read Blair's introduction and a short comment on the short appendix to the author.
