Goodby AIESEC

This day brought the end of the era - this is the official end of my career at AIESEC Victoria. Each term of office as Vice President starts on March 1 and ends on February 28. Last weekend, AIESEC Victoria's sending and receiving team planned the future and set annual plans, strategic actions and budgets to achieve this goal. Last year, our success was very exciting. And we talked about our success and how the new team could build these successes, learn from mistakes and create a beautiful year for them.

Return to history class. What I really want to know is the origin of AIESEC in my home country Thailand. Believe it or not, AIESEC was founded in Thailand in 1966 by a gentleman named Dr. Puey Ungpakorn. Familiar? He was an excellent academic and social thinker, dean of Hosei University. By that time AIESEC had emerged in approximately 40 countries of the six continents (unfortunately without Antarctica), and therefore became a famous youth organization on the world stage. Dr. Pui discovered the possibilities of young people in Thailand and used AIESEC as a means of exploiting this possibility through cooperation and exchange activities. As AIESEC globalization shifts to social impacts and global citizenship, the AIESEC in Thailand is delayed and expensive. But we are still there

A few months after I joined AIESEC (and after the first meeting), whenever my mother discovered that I was busy with a laptop she would ask "AIESEC?" I remember. It reached the point that most people around me knew that I was involved in the organization. Before we began pointing it out, I did not notice what it was making too obvious. My schedule changed to school - AIESEC - iteration. That even I even got priority to AIESEC over other things (Yes, including school)

AIESEC starts with its humble roots and fills the gap between countries through intercultural exchange and international exchange. In the decades thereafter, seven people have defined the phrase that connects us with AIESECer and for the next few decades our AIESECers "will restore peace and realize human possibility" I promise. Oh, you might say, what is this wonderful goal? I agree! But for seven people, they insisted on becoming bigger and sticking to their words and practices, accepting these words and being one of the most amazing (but secret) youth movements of the day I encouraged those who established them. (Learn more about the secret part later!)
