In the days of Samuel, why did the Israelites demand the king? "Now give us the king to judge us like all the nations." 1 Samuel 8: 5 (ESV) God's people (Israel) want it. Surprising God's hand When this terrible mistake happened, God's people urged Samuel the prophet to search for kings like other countries. The result is that they have the hands of God's enemies.

It was during this time that Samuel was still a child and God began to speak to him. The first message Samuel received from God was very calm and sent to Israel 's old leaders. Samuel declares God's penalty for Eli's two selfish sons, Hopney and Phineas. They exploit the authority of their priests and sacred gifts to people (2 Sam 2: 27 - 34; 3: 2 - 18). God also reprimanded Eli strictly for his tolerance of his son's acts. Because of the rude shown to God, God said to Eli's descendants that he will die in "flowers of their times", and he will choose another family to serve the priest (2 Sam 2: 33 - 35). Prophecy - "At that time, I will develop a faithful priest for myself, he will walk forever in my anointed person" (v. 35) - clearly mentioning Satan. 27, 35)

In this article we will look at God's prophet Samuel who is gladly prepared but looking for a wrong place. Samuel began calling Samuel with God, but he thought it was Eli. In the meantime, Samuel served the Lord under the service of Eli. The ability for us to listen to God is sometimes related to our previous contact with God. As with other relationships, it is easier to talk to people talking and to talk with strangers. When we are not walking near the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5: 25-26), it creates a distance between us and God (Isaiah 59: 2). Our sin pulled us away from God, but Jesus became a bridge between us and gave us the Holy Spirit to guide us (John 16: 13). Unfortunately, the connection with this God through the Holy Spirit becomes cloudy due to our sin or the lack of devotion to the Word of God.
