Each author draws information based on purpose and theme. Sometimes these themes are moral issues, emotions or existentialism. In the case of the Old Testament, the author has written several books highlighting various concepts of love, obedience and pain. Despite various subtopics, the Old Testament clearly shows the theme of God's loyalty to his followers. First of all, God's loyalty is revealed by the law. An example is in the chapter at the beginning of Genesis.
A good example of faith in God in the Old Testament is that Abraham was tried by God. It starts with Genesis 22: 1-19 and provides an amazing story about God. Beginning in Genesis 3: 15, it continues through the Old Testament and witnesses the redemption of Messiah's faith. As in Isaiah Chapter 53, God witnessed the righteousness of God in the sacrifices of the Old Testament, the Tabernacle, the priests, the prophecies, the genres, and the scriptures. The law can test God's righteousness but can not give sinners it, "meat is weak" (Romans 8: 3). So what is the other characteristic of justice from this God? Most importantly, as the righteousness of God (Romans 3: 21), it is independent of the law. The literal meaning "other than law" is "other than law." The law is irrelevant. In other words, there is no article. That is not just the Old Testament law. Even the principles of the Old Testament law, the law of conscience (2: 14 - 15), or the justice of the mountain point to all kinds of law.
