Globalization in the Works of Vikram Seth

Globalization is a term frequently asked in modern times and can be regarded as a system of interactions among countries around the world to develop the world economy. Globalization means the integration of the world economy and society. Globalization brings technical, economic, political and cultural exchanges, mainly through advances in communications, transportation and infrastructure. Sociologists Martin Albro and Elizabeth King define globalization as "... making all processes of the people of the world a single world society." (9) Because of globalization, the world seems to be getting closer.

In the 1990s and early 2000s many new Indian writers left their name in the American literary circle. Vik Ramses is known for his novel A Applicable Boy (1994). Kiran Desai born in India is currently a permanent resident of the United States, and in 1998 her first novel "Hullabaloo" was announced at the guava orchard and it gained popularity. She is the daughter of Anita desai and a famous Indian writer. Also born in India, Vikram Chandra announced his first novel "Red Earth and Rain: Fiction" in 1995 and released five stories to his series "Love and Desire" in Mumbai. 1997). Pankaj Mishra 's novel "The Romantics" (2000) won the Lost Times Art Seidenbaum Award for the first novel about those who lived in a culture not their own. A special feature of Indian novel written in English is its overseas nature. This trend was strengthened and confirmed in the 1990s. Many novelists such as Vikram Seth, Vikram Chandra, Shashi Tharoor, Amitov Ghosh, Gita Mehta, Amit Chaudhari etc are exploring the living of this country from afar. The Indian novel represents Indian life in India. Writers and his audience share similar backgrounds and common experiences as Indian cultural units tend to marginalize religious, cultural and racial thematic lines. Indian nostalgic creation in Indian novels is a new experience and process. What it is doing is one of self discovery for the advancement of the country. This unique creation of Indian consciousness and its correct expression in art distinguishes Indian novels from those of other countries. Indeed, these novels have achieved a universal vision by expressing part of the real life in India.

In early January of this year, I read a novel "Being a Boy" written by famous Indian writer Vik Ramses. When the first general election (1952) did not take place in the early years of independent India, the novel covered various aspects of India at the time. In order to understand Indian philosophy, I studied the social structure of India in detail. Please explain family life, Indian tradition, general political situation, emergence of various ideologies, diversity of farmer, religion, decline of Indian kingdom, enthusiasm for literature and dedication to pure India.
