Global Studies Certificate Program

Heifer Global Village in Fort Sharp, Maryland is a camp of replica houses from all over the world, including outdoor pumps, animal pens, mud plates, the themed roofs, public stoves and so on. These houses represent poor areas all over the world, and Heifer International is working on eradication of hunger and poverty. Students of global studies are invited to Gateway Weekend (Saturday, May 19th, Sunday May 20th). This event is designed to help participants investigate the cause and effect of these global problems in detail. In this role-playing simulation students will become "citizens" of a certain house at night, prepare their own meals, keep the house, take care of their animals and crops, We must cooperate to spend.

Fixtures: A packing list will be provided. No special camping equipment is needed; plan sleeping bags, clothes, bottles of water, bug spray. Classes will be given priority to global research students in 2020, but all GS students are welcome
