Every year, thousands of Citi's volunteers, their friends, and their families are participating in the Global Community Day event. This is an opportunity to bring change to the city by taking advantage of time, skill, expertise. A few days before Global Community Day 2015, more than 80,000 volunteers cooperated with community partners in service projects in 93 countries, 487 cities. The annual event focuses on the needs of different regions, from city regeneration to environmental protection, literacy and education. Global Community Day is one of many ways to showcase Citi's commitment to communities throughout the year.

So far, more than 2 million hours have been donated since the launch of the 2006 Global Community Day.

Thursday March 22, the world community recognized the world water day. This is an international day raising concerns about the importance of water as an essential element of human life. The mayor's International Bureau announces a statement to the mayor of Bir de Bradio and celebrates the beginning of the decade of water action, celebrating the World Water Day together with the United Nations, UN Water, the Netherlands Government and other countries. World Water Day often collects stakeholders each year to discuss urgent problems and viable solutions and focuses on important aspects of water awareness. The theme of World Water Day in 2018 is "the nature of water". This highlights the importance of a natural-based solution to the challenge to water.

What is complicated and troublesome conflict like Syria? On the Day of World Humanitarianism, the world community reflects some of the needs of people affected by the Syrian conflict not covered by the news. In addition to the direct elements of food, medicine, water, and evacuation shelters, millions of Syrians are seeking support for their families in times of instability and danger. The global community supports the hosting of refugee communities in this area as follows.
