Giving Language Back:An Argument Against Isolated Grammar Instruction

Therefore, by integrating grammar into other aspects of learning such as listening, speaking, reading, writing etc., you can improve the overall language ability.

Some people think that I am against grammar. Grammatical interpretation has those places. You can refer to them. The more we input the language, the better we can use the grammar explanation. However, language education often starts with grammar. Learners need to understand rules and exception lists that explain what is not familiar. Then test the ability to correctly use the language.
