The German Revolution in 1789, the French Revolution had a great influence on Germany. Because the suppressed people of the German state were able to change their way of working in their country as they became monarchs. As Napoleon reduced the number of German countries from 360 to 16, the German people began to feel nationalism and people were proud of their country. So people feel now what their lives become and how they want to be reality. Immediately following the collapse of Napoleon, the Anchen regime was withdrawn and Germany's unification was shelved.
Prussian Prime Minister Otto von Bismarck tried the next German unification, but this attempt succeeded. Bismarck is a supporter of "small" German, not to mention experts in true political games. The unification of Germany is accomplished by the power of Prussia and is done from the top down. In other words, it is not organic movement fully supported and disseminated by popular classes, it is a product of Prussian royal policy. The Second German Unification War was the 1866 Prussian War, which solved the "small" German and "big" German problems. This short-lived war (a brief battle of just a few weeks) confronted Prussia and its allies with Austria and other German countries. Prussia acquired several German countries that support Austria (Hannover, Nassau, etc.) and directly consolidated it. In loose acts, Prussia also acknowledged maintaining independence among Austrian larger allies like Baden and Bavaria.
The third and final act of German unification was the French-Prussian War from 1870 to 1871, carefully planned by Bismarck to attract alliances between the West Germany state and the North German Federation. With the failure of France, the German Empire was founded in the French Versailles Palace in January 1871. In the future, foreign policy of the German empire was formulated in Berlin, Caesar in Germany (also Prussian King) also admitted diplomatic ambassador. When the United States announced the war with the German empire in 1917, the relationship between the two countries was blocked.
