Georgia school reinstating paddling to punish students

The school in Hephzibah in Georgia proved a new policy to gather the public's attention and use the paddle as punishment for the students after sending consent to their parents, the CBS Alliance WRDW-TV report

The Georgia State Innovation and Classics Institute (GSIC) is a charter school from kindergarten to ninth grade. Principal Jody Boulineau told WRDW that about 100 parents sent back the form and one third of the school agreed to paddle the child.

"In this school we focus on discipline," the supervisor said. "For a while, corporal punishment is the normal state of school, you have never encountered a problem."
