George Thomson

George Thomson b. 1757, d. Edited and published Scotland folk songs in 1851. For 59 years, he has worked on art and manufacturing boards in Scotland. Join the Edinburgh Music Association and play the violin in an orchestra and sing it in a choir. His interest in Scottish folk music produced a classic arrangement and around 1791 he decided to announce a comprehensive collection of vocals and piano trios published by the most famous composers in Europe . It took a lot of private money by 1841.

In January 1928, at the early stages of immunization campaign against diphtheria, Dr. Ewing George Thomson of Bundaberg Health Medical Officer started the injection of a toxin-antitoxin mixture into the child. This material was taken from an Indian rubber bottle containing 10 mL of TAM. On 17th, 20th, 21st and 24th January, Dr. Thomson injected without adverse effects on 21 children. Another 21 children were injected on the 27th. Eleven of them died on 28th and one died on 29th. (Wilson, 1967)

Charles Thomson, the secretary of the first Continental Congress, sent a petition to King George III of the UK and sent a letter to Benjamin Franklin, London's US agent. Thomson wrote that there is still hope for peace, but the colony is still at the edge of the cliff. The petition outlined the dissatisfaction with peace correction, and the UK government immediately dismissed the petition. Congress ordered the formation of military flight camps from Delaware, Maryland and Pennsylvania to defend New Jersey as enemy forces expected to gather at Staten Island are about to begin an attack. Franklin was appointed as a parliamentary committee to negotiate with the political and military authorities on the best defense measures. Franklin, Chairman of the Pennsylvania Convention, urged local militia to march with expedition, ignoring the opposite report.
