There are not so many interesting characters in this book. I have never had an interest in history. For example, the chapter on railway people is very good, but he was promoted to railway vice president within a year after starting work. This is cool. Some of the wars he participated in was okay. Sometimes I am surprised that there are so many unknown heroes. As you know, this book talks a bit about his life, the war he is doing, and behind the scenes.
Micheal J. McHugh 's George B. McClellan (The Disposable Patriot) tells the story of a young Napoleon George B. McClellan in his life. I am struggling. George B. McClellan has lived a long and fulfilling life both militarily and politically but still there is a loving Christian family. Throughout the book, George B. McClellan is determined to live for the Lord. George B. McClellan is from a wealthy family. His father is a doctor, this is George 's good education. There are also his mother and father, Christian as the main service, this is his concern for his compatriots. His grandfather is a revolutionary war general, probably the reason he entered the army. He was very cautious when George moved his army Potomac to a new place when George cared about his companion. He also always wanted to get ready enough before the fight. When George asked Washington leaders to provide more supplies, they
"George McClellan, former patriot" is not a good book for me. I do not like biography very much, but I have some good points. No matter what George did, Washington leaders tried to make him oppose his will, I learned to be myself like attacking the Federal Army. The author's view of George B. McClellan is that he is not a bad person afraid to do things. I agree with this because George is doing what he thinks is right and paying attention to his colleagues.
After leaving the army in 1864, George B. McClellan took part in politics when he was nominated as presidential candidate for his former boss, Abraham Lincoln. McClellan took part in the antiwar platform and promised to negotiate peace with the federal government to finish the war as soon as possible. But by November 1864, the success of the alliance made many people believe that war was at its final stage. McClellan resigned his military committee on the election day, but in the end Lincoln was elected for the second phase. After the war, former railway official McClellan served as an executive in several engineering companies and was elected governor of New Jersey in 1878.
