Geology Field Work

The Kuncizzjoni and Fomm ir-Riħ area is located at the end of the Victoria line. It is between the horse and the gravel system. Kuncizzjoni was strengthened with a holst function with a Victorian line built on a large fault. Alluvial deposits were found in the valley due to the penetration of rainwater into the lowest plain and the high percentage of clay found in the soil. Clay-based soil makes valleys an ideal place for agricultural terraces.

Travel! In order to do field work of geology and paleontology, I got the opportunity to visit five different countries over the past 5 years. In these expeditions, volcanic rocks from the Andes Mountains of Argentina were drawn, and the Miocene fossils were excavated along the Panama Canal. Books, museums, social media! If you can access the local Natural History Museum you can use not only paleontology but also various cool science (usually intertwined!). At summer camps and art museums where special events are held frequently, you will have the opportunity to learn more about a specific field and get acquainted with real scientists in that field. The gift shop at the museum is the perfect place to start looking for books.

In site mapping, we will look at the specific rock type and geological structure of the area, and how they relate to each other. The goal is to create a "geological map". It is done by universities, mining and exploration companies or geological students and geoscientists working at several oil and gas companies. Again, this is usually an outdoor activity by geological excavation. Geologists will explain the rocks extracted from the drill bits to understand the subterranean geology. Records of sediments and volcanic rocks on the ground are also used to investigate past environmental changes and accurately record sampling locations.

The field of geology helps to understand the environment on the earth. The benefits of geology include how we protect our environment and provide us with natural resources. Geology helps to avoid geological disasters and is based on scientific methods. One of the major contributions of geology to human understanding is the size of the geological era. If science is not inconsistent with technology, these benefits can not be found or even taken into consideration. Science and technology are closely related and seem to be two main factors that affect social progress.
