Gender Roles in Television

Through the analysis of certain television programs and movies it is clear that the traditional role of women is essentially a feminine stereotype emphasizing female passivity, indecisiveness, subordination.

Television is the industry that is most often responsible for sex role and stereotypes. For commercials and advertisements, a very sharp contrasting stereotype of the role of television sex will draw attention. Gender stereotypes can also be seen on children's TV programs.
