Gender Role Portrayals in Disney Animated Films

The purpose of this study was to analyze Disney cartoon movies based on gender role and gender role mapping. There are many heroines in Disney's animated movie, Pixar's parent company. Disney is known for female hero films such as Snow White, Cinderella, Little Mermaid, Moulin etc. Many Disney movies are starring ladies and she is mostly a princess. If she is not a princess, she usually marries the prince to end the movie, or in the case of Mulan end the military officer. Not all "princesses" of Disney movies play passive roles in their lives, but they often realize that they need to be saved by men and the happy endings they seek are Including marriage.
