Gender in Mother Courage and Her Children and M. Butterfly

Compare the courage of the mother with the sex of her child and a butterfly. "Gender is often used to refer to the psychological, cultural and social characteristics of distinction by gender" (Cook 1). From the viewpoint of gender, concepts such as gender bias and stereotypes are formed. Stereotypes convince society that men or women should be manifested, acted, or philosophically expressed in some way. We will further discuss what these stereotypes of gender are, and whether they actually exist, and so that they can refer to her mother's courage and her children and M .

A brave mother and her children overturned the ideal of a stereotype woman and gave her mother a brave male character. The drama made people see gender equality. A brave mother can become a man. She has become stronger than a typical male, as she maintains the quality of her mother, focuses on her children, in a masculine positive way. It was so aggressive that she eventually lost her descendants. Mother's courage and her child asked the question, "What if men and women have male stereotypes?"

These ideals that men and women should do will of course give more power to men, but women have a responsibility not to give way. As briefly mentioned above, the drama "Brave Mother" and "Her Child" and "Butterfly Butterfly" reverse or beautify these stereotypes due to both sexes. The mother's courage and the courage of her mother's mother have a character far from these stereotypes. Indeed, she seems to assume a male if she carefully examines her characteristics and behavior. She tried to help her child spend 30 years of war. Taking care of them is usually the quality and responsibility of women, but it is more masculine by running small businesses and welcoming war rather than avoiding war. Mother's courage and her children are planned in 1624 in a collapsed society.
