Throughout the history of mankind, creation of gardens is to cultivate spirit. Landscape is a relationship between nature and culture, it shows who we are and where we came from. In addition, the landscape architecture develops with society and adapts to changes in their hobbies and lifestyles. It aims at first balancing the environment and progressive society. We can see different styles and design processes of each culture by looking at the elements, plants and rules it uses.

The garden design is the development of garden and landscape layout and planting plan. The garden can be designed by the owners of the garden himself or experts. Professional garden designers tend to be trained on design and gardening principles and have knowledge and experience in using plants. There is also a landscape architect who is also a professional garden designer, but more formal training level usually requires an advanced degree, usually a state license is required. Elements of gardening design include paths, rockery, walls, shapes of water, hardscape layouts such as resting areas, decorations, and the plants themselves. And combination with features of other plants and landscapes

Gardening is the art of planting plants, its purpose is to create intentional landscapes. Residential gardening is a space commonly referred to as the garden and is done in or around the house. The garden is usually found in the land near the house, but also in the roof, the atrium, the balcony, the window, the courtyard and the zoo. Gardening and gardening are also done in parks, public or semi-public gardens (botanical gardens or zoos), entertainment and theme parks, transport corridors, and non-residential green spaces such as tourist attractions and the surroundings of the hotel.

The first Australian botanical garden was built in the early 19th century. Royal Botanical Gardens of Sydney in 1816, Royal Botanical Gardens of Tasmania in 1818, Royal Botanical Gardens of Melbourne, 1845, Adelaide Botanic Gardens of 1854, Brisbane Botanic Gardens of 1855. These are basically economical botanical and colonial gardens adapted to the environment. In 1977, Auburn Botanical Garden is located in the western suburbs of Sydney and is one of the most diverse botanical gardens in the Greater Western Sydney area.
