Gabriela Mistral

Gabriela Mistral (pseudonym of Lucila Godoy y Alcayaga) was born in the village of Vicuña in northern Chile and bred by her mother and teacher. Pablo Neruda grew up in southern Chile and was taught by famous poet Gabriela Mistral.
