Future Generations

The traditional definition of sustainable development is to satisfy the development of our own needs without sacrificing the ability to meet the needs of future generations. This definition means the recognition of the right of next generation - the right to a sustainable level and the right to use natural resources.

In the fall of 1997 the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Conference was held in Paris and adopted the "Declaration of the responsibilities of the present generation for future generations". "Declaration" recognizes that modern people are responsible for ensuring that current and future generations' needs and benefits are fully guaranteed. To respect human rights and fundamental freedoms, to ensure that future and modern people have full choice of freedom in their political, economic and social systems and to maintain their cultural and religious diversity I need to work hard. It insists that modern people are responsible for delegating their children and grandchildren to future generations, and this day will not be irreversibly destroyed by human activities. All generations that temporarily inherit the Earth need to pay attention to the rational use of natural resources so that life is not affected by harmful changes in the ecosystem.

If global disasters are left unattended, scholarships and data will predict that it will become chaotic and itchy (if there are descendants), in fact it will make the descendants of this generation crazy. The current US government has not even thought that the former government not only pointed out the disaster but also recognized the opportunity to expand employment through exploration of other energy sources. Global temperature rise and sea level rise are indicators of climate change and global warming. Despite the lack of support from boycott and many members of the US Congress and the White House, the Pentagon and the Department of Defense are still investing heavily in protecting their assets from disasters. This fairly surprising fact shows that inadvertent political outcomes appeared in the voting rather than mature governance.

The problem with future generations is that they do not have seats to assert and protect their rights. There are no trades or unions representing future workers and organizations such as future generation rights foundations should not balance the impact of present and past organizational interests. The impact of this asymmetry was revealed in the British referendum on EU accession and the US presidential election and most young people opposed the elderly - and once they were voted they would take away their future I accused my parents. The worrying meaning is the decline of faith in democracy and its youngest place.

This is correct. Not representing descendants means that conflicts of interest are determined by the vast majority of eligible voters, not the vast majority of voters affected by the decision. Future staff affected by the decision will not affect this. This "representative gap" is fundamentally different from the lack of participation rights of other social minority groups and the lack of profit organizations (women, elderly people, foreigners, etc.). These groups are still present and can participate in political discourse, write editorials, appear in talk shows, or participate in elections. Neither of these options apply to future generations.
