The four functions of management paper management are planning, organization, guidance, and management. All four of these management functions are used in various businesses all over the world. The initial function of management is planning. Planning is "to designate goals to achieve and determine in advance the appropriate actions necessary to achieve them". .

The management function uniquely describes the work of the administrator. The most common management functions are planning, organization, leadership, and management. However, some functions can identify other functions. Management functions define management processes that are different from accounting, finance, marketing, and other business functions. Since the 1950s, most basic management texts have been organized based on a functional framework.

Product management functions in many businesses are independent of engineering and design. As a result, many product administrators face the problem of not having direct reporting or authority to establish the business function of the policy that you have set up. When people need to internally push the dislike agenda, system, or process, they can not simply impose commercial power on the people involved. They must communicate effectively, act as thought leaders, understand customers deeply, understand the interior of the market, and gain insight into the numbers behind the product. A major challenge for many product managers is that they have become the source of important knowledge and must use internal influences to gain internal support from people involved.

Planning is the most preliminary function of management. It has to establish the fundamental source of the other three management functions. Planning is important, but the position at the management function level is fundamental. An organization is a management function that involves pooling company resources and coordinating the human capital needed to execute the plan. This function defines the allocation of division of labor and responsibilities necessary to carry out tactical and strategic goals.

Adjustment is not an independent function of management. It is necessary for all management functions. Administrators coordinate human and nonhuman resources, internal and external organizational environments while performing administrative functions such as planning, organization, staffing, guidance and management. Therefore, the adjustment is "the essence of management". Because individuals and departments have different goals, adjustment is necessary. They are mutually dependent on resources and information. Managers constantly coordinate their activities so that all individuals and departments can use organization resources and information to successfully achieve organizational goals.
