After the fulbright scholarship is announced, my heart jumps every March. I have not graduated yet, but one day I imagined that I was excited like Fulbright. Fulbright scholarship is a once in a lifetime opportunity to make my dreams a reality. That's why I spent almost a year preparing for the contest this year. And now I would like to apply for a master's degree through a Fulbright scholarship, one of the most prestigious educational and cultural exchange programs offered by the US government.
My fulbright story began during my undergraduate study at Shari and Law School (Department of English) at Al-Azhar University. One of my teachers explained that a scholarship like Fulbright opened me a new door and the reputation of the Fulbright program impressed me. Since then, it has become the goal of victory and I am working towards this goal. Even at busy graduate schools and even full time jobs, my fullbright goal has driven my devotion to work and study. One day, I can introduce myself as a dream that Fulbright scholars stimulate themselves.
For many years of my life, I would like to be a doctorate. Indeed, in 2009 I was named Fulbright Scholarship and I got a doctorate in political science from Boston University. But I did not accept scholarship because I learned that Fulbright's decision week is also the week I learned that I expected my daughter. Over the years I am still considering my doctorate and often seek advice from people around me. As expected, people will ask me why. Do you want to study full time? Do I want to be many researchers and writers? Do I want only "doctor"? Before my name? Then someone asked me the most relevant question - are there hot questions in my head that I am awake in the middle of the night? Unfortunately, my answer is no.
"American dream" - a well-known idea from immigrants who made dreams a reality. My parents also did it when they came to this country in 2008 and sacrificed their dreams to show to me. They believe that the way I am going to do this is through education. If learning listens to your professor's lecture and reminds the facts in the medium term, you are probably right. Students test how much they have returned to the fact, not to what extent they understand the concept. Our system emphasizes students' evaluation and scoring, not letting them learn. We are not stimulating curiosity, but we are suppressing it - we are not promoting learning, we are suppressing it
