From Countrypolitan to New Tradition: Gender, race, class and region in female country music, 1980-1989

Music of the fourth generation (1970-80 's) included illegal countries rooted in the sound of Bakersfield, and country music of country music, folk music, and soft rock in the country. Between 1972 and 1975, singer / guitarist John Denver announced a series of very successful songs that fused the country style with folk rock music style. In the early 1980s, the national artists kept watching their records work well with popular music charts. In 1980, the style of "New National Disco Music" became popular. In the mid 1980s, a new group of artists who rejected radio and graphic country music pop and liked the more traditional "back to basics" production came out. Rural pop music is the successor of the country voice in the early 1970s. In addition to artists such as Murray and Campbell, some artists that were not originally sold as a country had success across national borders through broadcasting and sales. The most successful of these artists includes Bellamy Brothers, Charlie Rich, John Denver, Olivia Newton - John, Marie Osmond, B. J. Thomas and Kenny Rogers. Australian pop singer Newton John was chosen as a female singer of the year from the Country Music Association in 1974 and has raised a debate that is going on today as well. What is country music? A group of artists with traditional ideas suffering from this trend is a short-lived association of country artists trying to build the foundation of a new traditional national renaissance that is trying to bring traditional music to the forefront I formed it.
