Freud Meets World

Sigmund Freud, physiologist, physician, psychologist and father of psychoanalysis, is recognized as one of the most influential thinkers of the 20th century. Freud described the concept of unconsciousness, infant's sexuality, and suppression. He proposed a three way interpretation of the mental structure as a part of a new therapeutic reference to understand the psychological development of humans and treat abnormal mental conditions. Freud is also known as "father of psychoanalysis". Psychoanalysis is the study of an unconscious psychological process and a form of psychotherapy.

In an article entitled "Personality Pattern and Growth", Alport describes his experience with psychiatrist Sigmund Freud. In 1922, Alport visited Vienna in Austria and met a famous psychologist. After entering Freud's office, he tranquilly sat and talked about the little boy I saw on the train while traveling to Vienna. Alport explained that the boy was afraid of getting dirty and refused to sit next to a person who looked awful. According to Allport 's theory, children took such behavior from their mothers and the mother looked very aggressive.
