French Canada and Quebecois Nationalism

The British settlers dominated Canada from France, so the rest of the needs of the French Canadians and the Quebecers were ignored. Several events in Canadian history brought strong emotions between France and British Canadians. Many French speaking Canadians think they will be better as their own country. Quebec's leaders gained sovereignty * and talked enthusiastically about Quebec's rights and mistakes.
