Freedom to Read

When the library first gets the book, media experts read it, and others read it. After that, media experts decide whether to put the book on the shelf. The review board looks for various content, such as whether the book contains a curse, whether it is gender-specific, or whether it is suitable for a particular age group. If any of them are satisfied, they can choose to start a book for public use. The peer review committee made a legitimate decision to display the book, but some people, parents, leaders of the government and leaders of the church thought that the book was not suitable for anyone to read (Whelan).

The ultimate goal of celebrating the forbidden week is to celebrate the freedom to read, not to protect the book being questioned for a specific complaint. We believe we live in the age of liberty, but we agree that we have lots of freedom when it comes to information, mobility etc. However, "When pursuing the work I want to pursue every day" I believe that we live in an era of freedom that has never existed before it comes to individual freedom. We live in an era where people are often unemployed, over-employed without worrying money, or taking little personal time. (Now I understand the paradox of leisure in America.)
