There are many similarities between Shakespeare's "countermeasure" and "Venetian merchant". The basic theme of each work is clearly defined with the phrase "regrettable, no abuse of power". We support this claim by using some of the consistent roles and situations in each story. In each story, life depends on interpretation and sanctions against justice. In "Venezia Merchant" Antonio (I believe in mercy) sealed the bond with Sherlock to provide a pound of meat for a 3 pound loan. Unfortunately he abandoned this connection.
