Last year we carefully read the young Goodman Brown, and last year of high school, we were assigned to Nathaniel Hawthorne's "Young Goodman Brown". At that time, I did not carefully read the story, I missed many symbolic meanings. But after reading this semester I will be more thankful for it now as it allows the reader to go through an emotional roller coaster and force him to think over.
