The first two chapters define the problem for this research, provide a literary background for this research, and discuss the theoretical framework of this paper. Literature review reveals abundant information on free and alternative schools. However, there is no article about the science curriculum of this compelling school. As a result, there was an alternative school science education, especially Blue Mountain School, comparable to SOL in Virginia state compared to public education science education.
Growing and heading for Albany Free School (independent alternative school), Cony Hood is our sewing teacher. When we were classmates, I was 8 or 9 years old. She will make us clothes and use patterns. We played a fashion show for a year and made our own clothes. I did the most ugly thing. This is a jumpsuit, O God, this is bad, but it was in the 90's. I can still learn a lot from her now. I was making a soft children's toy, I have another name, but it did not stick or felt properly. I did this for a while, then I gave it up. I returned to the professional world, I just did not create it; I was dissatisfied. But as I was born to be a creative person, I am always remembered naturally.
My new term as my creative writing mentor is another girls' high school in eastern Los Angeles. There is a free day care center, and students can take care of babies and visit babies during class hours. It is not embarrassing that pregnant girls often endure mainstream high school. When the bell rings, the girls sit with a filter. Not all babies and pregnancies. Many of them are there because of long-term truancy and other ordinary high school problems. But they are all latinous, not surprising. East L.A. is 97% Hispanic, mainly Mexican American and working class. More than a quarter of the residents live in poverty
Open School East is a yearly free alternative art founded in 2013 to cope with an art education system that may not be able to meet the rising tuition fee and the needs of work as a professional artist in the past decade It is school. This course is publicly funded by The Barbican and other funding agencies and offers a free studio space, an open workspace for events and conferences, and a ceramic studio run by Troy Town Pottery. The original idea was to revitalize the abandoned public space and provide an environment where employees (students) can interact with the surrounding areas of De Beauvoir. The basis of this alternative art school is "cooperation, collectivism, improvisation, autonomy". Continue to ask questions such as "How do you connect with the community", "How to set dialogue", "What is necessary for art education", "What is community" .
