Daniel Pink reports on his career survey and extensive interviews with their consultants, contractors and "free agents" working for small and medium enterprises. He insists that this is an increasing trend in the labor force of the United States and explores lifestyle, business plan and satisfaction of these independent workers.

We are no longer a "new economy" in 2002, but there have also been some changes in the competitive environment. Is this book worth reading? In the opinion of the reviewer, there are still three reasons for that. It may involve purchasing your own computer equipment, reference materials and business cards, not your employer. This book encourages all of us to prepare the portability of other organizations, or any organization. Listening to this advice is safer in terms of occupation and finance.

Last thought What will become of free agent when we enter the era of strengthening government regulation? Even if regulatory environments are not friendly to small and medium enterprises, they are not all absorbed by large organizations. Some people, perhaps many people, will become economically guerrillas in the basement and will fight against their discreet war for survival. I would like to know whether a new edition of this book will be published as "Black Market Nation".
