Learning plays an extremely important role in life. We learn new things everyday. In Frank O'Connor's short story "First Confession", the main character Jackie learned the lesson he would always remember. After Jackie 's first conviction, he can now be confident that he is not a sinner and that his sister Nora is wrong. People focus on Jackie's own wrong behavior, but they are not focusing on their own wrong actions. Sometimes people ignorance will lead them to completely different reality.
Frank O'Connor wrote and released two versions of the article "The First Remorse". The first version was written in a limited, omniscient opinion, the second version was written in the first person's perspective. After reading the two versions, I learned that the limited omniscient style is interesting, effective and consistent with my taste. A version written in full-styled style will immediately describe the boy and his sister as soon as possible. It gives a short description of the setting but a detailed explanation. It is written so that you can see that most boys are dragged by crowded streets by his sister. Even short, the explanation is brilliant. An argument between a boy and his sister brought more reality to the story. This led to a scene of confession. The first person version gives you details and focuses on past events. It seems that it is pulled out and it is boring. There is no other version of entertainment
The story of Frank O'Connor concentrates on a seven-year old boy who was conflicted with his first regret. The main character of the story is Jackie, a 7 year old boy, an old lady named Ryan and a pastor. Jackie 's grandmother lives with his family, and she is completely different from the women around Jackie. She drank beer, sniffed, and walked barefoot through the house. For Jackie and his mother, this is not like a woman. Jackie never eats grandmother's cooking he must hide under the table, his mother did not eat it. He shouted under the table with a butter knife and threatened his sister Nora as she tried to take him out of the table. At Jackie 's school, an old lady named Ryan tried to educate her students about their first confession. She tried to frighten them to confess. She speaks in hell rather than heaven.
How will Mrs. Ryan and the pastor affect Jackie's attitude toward religion? "First confession" tells the way the 7-year-old boy Jackie confessed for the first time before the first communion. The story takes place in Ireland at the beginning of the 20th century, based on Ochonner's own childhood. It is interesting to see Mrs. Ryan and the pastor who are two opposing characters that can influence children's ideas in this way.
